Test Seneca with a fictional learner.

Seneca lets your product start every new learner from their real history. A pilot shows you what that looks like before anyone connects anything: you send one made-up student shaped like your real data, and we send back what Seneca would hand your product.

How the pilot works.

Seneca provides a starting point. Your product decides what to teach. The pilot lets your team judge that starting point on a student you invented.

  1. Send one fake student history

Shape it like your existing data. An export you already produce works. Any names, scores and dates can be invented.

  2. Seneca returns a starting point

A learner summary, the evidence behind it and an example first step inside your product. It's the same kind of picture the tutoring app received in the demo.

  3. Your team decides

You judge whether the result would make your product better. If it wouldn't, you've spent an afternoon.

What the pilot involves.

Fake data only

The student, the names, the scores and the dates can all be invented. No real learner is needed.

No production access

You email a file. The pilot doesn't touch your production systems or your real users.

No engineering sprint

An export you already produce is enough. Nobody has to build an integration to see the result.

No commitment to a full integration

If the result wouldn't make your product better, you stop there.

What to send.

Put three things in one email to kevinchoi@vindicaseneca.com.

One invented student

A made-up learner. Give them any name or ID you like.

20–50 events

Answers, attempts, timing and help used, in whatever shape your product exports.

One question

The thing you'd want answered before that student's first session in your product.

A sample CSV. JSON, xAPI or Caliper work too. To check your own export first, run it through the Starter Kit in your browser and attach the mapping file it gives you.

What you get back.

Six outputs, built from your fictional learner. Your product decides what to do with each one.

A short learner summary

Three or four lines a teacher or tutor model can read.

Supporting evidence

The events behind each line, with counts.

Confidence and uncertainty

Strong conclusions marked apart from ones that need checking.

Relevant prior interventions

What helped before, and where it was seen.

A suggested first step

A starting point your product can take or ignore.

Provenance for every conclusion

Which product, when and how many observations.

Learners stay free to leave. Vindica gets paid to make it work in production.

A portable record fails if one vendor can trap the learner inside it, so every learner can see, export and revoke their record at any time. Partner products get the integration contract in a sandbox, under agreement. Reliability, permissions and integration are the operated product.

Free for the learner: the learner’s record

  • Access to their own record
  • Export in open standards such as xAPI
  • Revocation at any time
  • Whichever products wrote to it

Learners pay $0

Operated and paid: the integration and the platform

  • The integration contract and SDK, in a sandbox during a pilot
  • Hosted reads and writes
  • Identity and permissions
  • Connectors
  • Calibration and audit
  • Compliance
  • Service guarantees and support

Companies pay an annual contract

Questions teams ask first.

Do we need to share real student data?

No. The pilot uses one fictional learner. Any names, scores and dates can be invented, and nothing from your production systems is needed.

Do we have to change our teaching logic?

No. Seneca provides a starting point. Your product decides what to teach. Your curriculum, interface, recommendation logic and content stay yours, and you can use, adapt or ignore the suggested first step.

What data formats work?

CSV, JSON, xAPI or Caliper. Send the shape your product already exports.

What happens to learner data in production?

A product reads a learner's record only with that learner's authorization, and only the scope they granted. Learners can export their record and revoke a product's access, and revocation is immediate. The trust center describes the current controls.

Can we use data from a school?

Not yet for identifiable K–12 students. Seneca is not presently accepting identifiable K–12 student records or minor accounts for a school pilot. Until a school and Vindica execute the required agreement and verify authority, a pilot must use synthetic data or pseudonymous adult testers. The student privacy page has the details.

What happens if we want to go further?

You bring one real item type. We map the observable fields, define what must remain local, establish an onboarding baseline and scope a contained production pilot. Production runs on an annual contract.

Send us one fictional learner.

Email the student history and your one question to kevinchoi@vindicaseneca.com. Fake data only, no production access, no engineering sprint.
